The death of the Borno State Commissioner for Environment, Alhaji Waziri Imam has been confirmed in a statement by the Secretary to Boron State Government, Usman Jidda Shuwa.
The commissioner died after a brief illness at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital this morning.
He is the younger brother to Alhaji Kashim Imam an APC National Chieftain. He was 54 years old and is survived by a wife and six children.
He was buried according to Islamic rites this evening.
